On August 20, 1940, Leon Trotsky was murdered. Trotsky, a Marxist in theory and practice, a leader of the Russian Revolution, the founder of the Red Army, a fighter for the world socialist revolution and communism, represents the opposition to the Stalinist dictatorship of the apparatus.

Despite persecution, the “Trotskyists” founded the Fourth International and defended the Marxist program against bureaucratic betrayal. Many, including Trotsky himself, gave their lives for this cause.

In the current historical crisis of capitalism, this program is more relevant than ever. To commemorate the 75th anniversary of his death, we want to grapple with the political legacy of Leon Trotsky.

Therefore we invite you to a panel discussion and workshops – an introduction to the ideas of Trotskyism will also take place. There will be plenty of time for questions and critical discussion.

How relevant are the ideas of Trotsky today?

Call: ‘For the Building of a New Revolutionary Organization in France’

Delegates at a national conference held in France on June 4 and 5 concluded their discussions and deliberations by issuing this call for the building of a new revolutionary organization in the country. The new organization aims to take up the mantle of the Far Left that has been undermined by a liquidationist perspective and a refusal to engage in the struggles of the working class and most oppressed in France.
