On Saturday, February 19, at 4:00 pm EST, Left Voice is hosting a special meeting for Black socialists, hosted by Left Voice members Julia Wallace, Carmin Maffea, and Tristan Taylor.

It is crucial to uncover the revolutionary socialist tradition that is a major part of the struggle for Black liberation in the United States, especially during a time period where even the right to teach Black history is being attacked, and it is equally crucial for us to develop our own revolutionary tradition. We must create a space where we can discuss revolutionary theory and strategy collectively that allows us to chart a pathway to liberation, a pathway that requires a socialist revolution against capitalism.

We invite Black socialists and Black people interested in revolutionary socialism to this meeting where we can share stories of the struggles we are participating in, exchange our assessments of the Black Lives Matter movement, and discuss the type of organizations we think we will need to help us fight for the revolutionary aspirations of Black people free from co-optation and reformism.
