Day of strikes and demonstrations in Greece, clashes with police in Syntagma Square
On Wednesday, the Greek civil servants union confederation ADEDY held a 24-hour strike against the agreement between the government and the creditors, at the same time Parliament took up a vote on the agreement. Police repressed demonstrators in Athens's Syntagma Square.

Tsipras’ capitulation and the general strike against the agreement
Despite the resounding NO at the referendum last July 5, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras accepted the demands made by the Troika. A new austerity package is on the way.
