U.S. Democracy Is Not Very Democratic

July 4 is the day when Americans are asked to celebrate the birth of American democracy; however, the little democracy that exists within the U.S. is tainted by compromises with and deference to the power of capital. The only path to a truly democratic way of life is through socialism.

An International Crisis Requires International Solutions

The pandemic and economic crisis is raging through regions ill-equipped to control the outbreak after years of neoliberalism and U.S. imperialism. Capitalist governments have proved that the only solutions they can offer will come with deep attacks on the living conditions of workers and oppressed people. As a united working class, we must counterpose our own solutions. In the U.S., that begins with the fight against imperialism. 

Socialism is The Future. Our Generation Will Win It.

We are in the midst of widespread uprisings against racist state violence, led by a vanguard of Black youth. With more and more young people pushing forward and leading social movements, working class  youth must ensure  our movements don’t fall away or be co-opted by the Democratic Party. We need to create a political party of our own, one that has the youth united with the working class to take the fight directly to the capitalist system.

The Revolution Will Not Be Localized

Mutual aid and other forms of local organizing are important, but can never overthrow capitalism on their own. How should socialists proceed?

A Socialist Plan to Re-Open the Economy

The ruling class is pushing to reopen the economy, but neither the health nor the economic security of the working class is being taken into consideration. Efforts to reopen must be directed towards protecting the working class — not capitalist profits.
