Spanish version from La Izquierda Diario México: Toman radiodifusoras normalistas en Guerrero

The airwaves were taken over as part of a number of actions carried out by the students in Chilpancingo and Atoyac to denounce the upcoming elections as a sham that the Mexican government is carrying out in the midst of thousands of assassinations and disappeared. The students also wanted to remind the government of its responsibility of the disappearance of 43 student teachers (normalistas).

Around 50 students participated in the action, declaring their opposition to Enrique Peña Nieto’s reforms, demanding the punishment of those guilty of the massacre in Iguala and the cancelation of the June 7 elections.

Furthermore, they students are demanding the liberation of all of the political prisoners in the state of Guerrero, denouncing the brutal repression of the teachers from CETEG in Acapulco, and they’re calling for the liberation of Nestora Salgado and Gonzalo Molina, community guards in respective villages of Olinalá and Tixtla.

The scheduled radio program turned into spontaneous denunciations, where the students reminded the listeners that a member of the Humanist Party and Ex-Attorney General, Alberto Lopez Rosas, is responsible for the assassination of the student teachers (normalistas), José Alexis Herrera and Gabriel Echeverría, in 2011

In Atoyac the local radio station was interrupted by another 50 youth demanding airtime to make their denunciations.

The Peruvian Uprising: Massive Protests Demand the Fall of the Coup Regime and a Constituent Assembly

Peru has erupted in a massive uprising demanding that President Dina Boluarte resign, that the current Congress be shut down, and that a new constitution be established. The protests are the culmination of years of political oppression of the country’s indigenous communities, drastic poverty rates and precarity for Peru’s workers and poor, and a political regime that continues the legacy of Alberto Fujimori’s dictatorship.
