The list headed by Javier “Poke” Hermosilla has again won the Internal Commission (a shop steward commission) at the Kraft plant.

List 2, headed by Hermosilla and Lorena Gentile, won for the third time, the Internal Commission of Kraft (Mondelez) in the elections held on Friday at the plant in Pacheco, in which almost 1400 workers voted.

List 2 obtained 44 % of the votes, winning among both night and morning shifts (the latter–the largest in the factory–for the first time). Meanwhile, List 3, which was composed by the CCC (Corriente Clasista y Combativa), obtained 32% (down from 45% in 2011), while a new List 1, which was presented as “independent” but is driven by old leaders in response to Rodolfo Daer, garnered 23.5%.

List 2 is formed by Hermosilla, Gentile and other members of the PTS (Partido de los Trabajadores Socialistas), along with independents. As he was leaving the factory, Hermosilla declared that “this new success confirms our defense of all workers’ rights against this U.S. multinational employer, the method of democratic assemblies to make decisions, and the unity of all workers in the fight against the government cuts. This also reinforces our fight as ‘Lista Bordó’ to regain the Union in the Food Industry, which is now in the hands of Rodolfo Daer”.
