Gaza is now in its second week of total siege by Israeli forces. As of today, more than 2,750 Palestinians have been killed and more than 9,700 wounded. Food, water, and fuel has been cut off, leaving Gazans desperate and hospitals in the region struggling to cope. Bombardment by Israeli airstrikes have been hitting areas surrounding Gaza City’s main two hospitals. On Friday, Israeli officials warned all Palestinians in the north of Gaza — more than 1.1 million people — to evacuate “or face death.” However, the healthcare workers tirelessly caring for those who are critically ill and wounded have refused to abandon their patients and instead will not flee despite Israel’s warnings.

Democrats and Republicans alike have vowed to increase military aid to Israel and are unconditionally standing behind the Zionist attacks. We must all speak up against the atrocities currently being committed.

Healthcare workers in New York City have put out a statement in solidarity with Palestinians. We include the statement below and encourage all workers around the country and globally to take up the struggle for Palestinian liberation. Healthcare workers, unions, union caucuses, volunteers, students, and organizations can sign and circulate the statement.
